A Legacy Born from Devotion

The story of the Recovery Pen begins not in a lab or boardroom, but in a home filled with love and determination.
In 1997, Dr. Chi Yung Kim, a brilliant Korean engineer, developed a handheld healing tool to help his wife recover from a debilitating stroke that left her in pain and struggling with mobility. Combining his engineering expertise with the principles of Eastern medicine and acupressure, he created a simple, non-invasive device she could use daily to support her recovery.

What began as an act of devotion soon revealed extraordinary results. As his wife regained comfort and mobility, Dr. Kim refined his design into what became the Genesen Pen—a fusion of modern engineering and meridian science that supports energy flow, circulation, and balance throughout the body.

From Genesen to Recovery Pen

In 2024, Nigel Earl—a philanthropist, entrepreneur, and close friend of Dr. Kim—acquired the worldwide rights to the Genesen technology. Guided by the same core principles that inspired Dr. Kim, he set out to create a modern, premium evolution of the device.
By doubling the magnetic-field strength, enhancing far-infrared emission and negative-ion output, and refining the ergonomic design for modern users, Nigel gave birth to what is now known as The Recovery Pen—a next-generation expression of Dr. Kim’s vision.

During this time, Nigel introduced the Pen to Ryan Cairns, a former professional golfer whose career had been halted by chronic wrist pain. After incorporating the device into his daily recovery routine, Ryan returned to competition pain-free and without the wrap that had defined his struggle for years. Inspired by the results, Nigel and Ryan partnered to share the Recovery Pen with the world.
Tragically, Nigel passed away before seeing the vision realized, leaving Ryan to carry forward his legacy and the mission they began together.

Not long after, Brooke Busha, now Chief Healing Officer and COO, discovered the Pen following over a dozen surgeries and nerve damage dating back 30 years. The results were transformative—renewed mobility, structural alignment, and a deep sense of calm after decades of pain and immobility.
Moved by this experience, Brooke reached out to Ryan, and together they reignited Nigel’s mission, uniting their shared conviction that true healing emerges where technology, energy, and devotion intersect.

Today, the same core Genesen technology that changed one family’s life over 25 years ago continues in a refined, modern form—still handcrafted in Korea by Dr. Kim in the original assembly plant, empowered by four synergistic modalities, and supported by evolving research, advanced materials, and clinical protocols.

What began as a healing tool for one woman has become a global movement—bridging Eastern energetic wisdom and Western recovery science to help people reconnect with the body’s natural capacity to heal.
