Performance Insights from Bois d'Arlon
Fascia Fluidity and Golf Performance
At the world-renowned Bois d'Arlon Training Center, biokineticist JJ Rivet conducted initial observational studies using the Recovery Pen with four professional golfers. Two of the athletes had been experiencing right sacroiliac (SI) discomfort for more than a month, reporting pain and limited coiling during the backswing.
The Approach
Rivet focused the Recovery Pen on ligament and fascial attachment points that were contributing to restricted joint motion—including regions not initially reported as painful but directly connected to the musculoskeletal imbalance.
Using a star-pattern application, each athlete received three 40-second sessions per area over three consecutive days.
It's a weapon in your strategy for optimizing the fluidity of your fascia around the muscle.

After Three Days
-
Complete Relief from Sacroiliac Discomfort
Both players reported full relief of sacroiliac discomfort, despite receiving no additional osteopathic intervention.
-
Improved Postural Symmetry
Postural tests performed daily showed that each golfer regained a more centered, symmetrical stance—critical for consistent swing mechanics.
-
Enhanced Hand and Finger Mobility
The remaining two players, who had hand and finger mobility limitations, demonstrated improved flexion and grip stability, benefits that persisted even after pausing exercises for several days.

Key Findings
These early observations suggest that integrating the Recovery Pen into a golfer's regimen may support fascial fluidity, circulation, and postural balance, helping athletes maintain tensegrity and freedom of motion through the entire swing cycle—from backswing coil to downswing release.
The results demonstrate the potential of targeted micro-vibration therapy to address fascial restrictions at their source, enabling the body's natural healing mechanisms to restore optimal movement patterns.
We need to fight gravity to be able to maintain our bodies the best we can. Any solution that helps us move in that direction is welcome — and for me, the Recovery Pen is one of those solutions.
